I wrote this about Halloween for computer class to promote ~Lokiclub and ~Lizzzezzez at the same time.



MAD SCIENTISTS
(A fictitious story of) How Halloween Began

Many will tell, when prompted to explain the history of Halloween, of the Celts and ancient traditions centered around the end of summer and the beginning of long winters, winters having then been associated with death and the like. But this is just the beginning. Recent research from Lokiclub suggests that perhaps Mad scientists are the true cause of Halloween. All Hallows Eve is an especially good day for Mad Scientists, you see. When else can one loose a barrage of mismatched monstrosities on the general public and have them accept your walking corpses and zombified creatures as every day sights, rather than reporting you to the police or local asylum? Halloween is infamous for being the day when Mad Scientists worldwide can test their experiments on the common people around them, and wander among the masses in their conspicuous lab coats and goggles, ever the height of Mad Scientist fashion. Now, how did Halloween really begin? As you should well be aware, sometime in the future the now deceased Scientist of world-renowned, Dr. Vinir Hrafnasar, created a time machine based on Phyrexian designs. Traveling far into the past, Dr. Hrafnasar planted the ideas of Samhain that have evolved into the modern day Halloween.

Jack-O’Lanterns used to be turnips.
Halloween is from Hallowe’en.
Hallowe’en is from All Hallows Even.
All Hallows Eve is the evening before All Hallows Day.
In Ireland, the name was Hallows Eve,
Which was commonly shortened to Hallow Eve
